With 20,000-plus shells fired in coordination with patriotic music, this 30-minute annual fireworks display is one of the biggest and best on this side of the Mississippi. 2018 marks the 26th year of the celebration, and it's a perfect way to wrap up the festivities for the Fourth. Held at Snake River Landing north of Sunnyside Road, the fireworks will begin at approximately 10 p.m. Bring your radio tuned to KLCE 97.3 FM. For more information, visit www.freedomcelebration.com Ready for a Fourth to remember? You'll have a sure bet by celebrating Independence Day at the Mountain View Hospital Riverfest, presented by Riverbend Communications radio stations KLCE 97, Z103, Kbear 101, The Hawk, Sunny AM and EastIdahoNews.com. Following the annual parade by the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce, the festivities of Riverfest will run from 12-10 p.m. at Snake River Landing. If you're there, you'll have the best view of the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration fireworks. You'll find more than 30 food booths, an ATV and side-by-side demonstration area, live music from the Teton Toyota Stage, bounce houses and other activities in the Stevens-Henager College Kid's Zone, and horseback rides from Eagle Ridge Ranch. Admission is free (some activities extra). Celebrate Riverfest! Source: Snake River Landing PHOTO COURTESY MIKE COOK, EAST IDAHO COMMUNITY PHOTO CONTEST
