GOLD AND BLACK ILLUSTRATED VOLUME 28, ISSUE 6 77
THREE THINGS
1
Quarterback Antho-
ny Brown is still
r e c o v e r i n g
from a torn ACL sus-
tained toward the
end of last season.
The Eagles start off
the year with two
easy games, against
UMass and FCS
Holy Cross, but then
there's two Power 5
games — one on a short
week against Wake Forest,
before the Purdue game — in
a row. Will Brown be ready to
start the season or at least by P5 play? If not, can sophomore EJ Perry
handle the workload?
2
Running back A.J. Dillon took the ACC by storm with 1,589
yards and 14 touchdowns despite only starting half the sea-
son. He even had four games with over 190 yards. Will Dil-
lon revert back to a mean? Or can he follow in the footsteps of Andre
Williams and become a Heisman Trophy candidate?
3
Boston College's defense has seen a slew of mid- to late-
round draftees over the last several seasons, maintaining
a run in the top-30 statistically on a national level. Harold
Landry should be replaced by Zach Allen and Co. on the defensive
line, but the Eagles lack clear successors for drafted cornerbacks
Kamrin Moore and Isaac Yiadom. Who steps up for BC in man-to-
man coverage?
