IRELAND WEEKLY HOME Calling Out Brother and Sister Golfers National Siblings Tournament in Kilmashogue Golf Club n a few weeks' time, on Sunday 19th August, Kilmashogue GC in Rathfarnham, Dublin will host the 5TH National Siblings Tournament. Last year, players from 23 clubs took part in the 3 different competitions sponsored by Capital Credit Union. Captain Jim Nix said "Last year we had siblings from as far away as Galway, Leitrim, Kildare and Kilkenny along with a lot of entries from the local clubs around Dublin." Past champions will all be back to defend their trophies. In the Brother and Sister Section, Michael Horan (Highfield) and Jackie Horan (Old Conna) were the winners while in the sisters' competition, Cathy Quinn (Grange Castle) and Marie Quinn (Bray) beat all commers. In the brothers' competition, Colin Bell (Kilmashogue) and Des Bell (Druids Heath) clinched the trophy and they are pictured above with last year's Captains.
