Oklahoma State Offense

Defensive End
1. Ryan Isaac 61
6-5, 294, Jr.
10 tackles, 2 PBU*
Against Oklahoma States
running attack, which ranks
as one of the best in the Big
12, Isaac could see a lot of playing time. Hes
been the run-stopping D-end, rotating with
pass-rushing specialist Phillips. Of course,
OSU has been potent in both this season, so
Isaac and Phillips could rotate often.
2. Jalani Phillips 89
6-4, 260, So.
Defensive Tackle
1. Kawann Short 93
6-4, 315, Sr. (5)
42 tackles, 14.5 TFL,
6 sacks, 4 PBU, 2 FR, 1 FF,
4 blk kick*
Shorts had an opportunity
to heal up, with more than a month since
Purdues last game. He had a solid season,
one that could have been even better had
nagging injuries not slowed him during the
middle of the season.

Weakside Linebacker
1. Will Lucas 45
5-11, 230, Jr.
Lucas might be back in the starting lineup for the first time since the first half of
the season, due to an injury to Robinson.
Lucas would at least be coming off his
best game of the year, when he led Purdue in tackles
vs. IU. Robinson has been out much of bowl prep.
WR 84 Austin Hays

Cornerback
1. Ricardo Allen 21
5-9, 186, Jr.
44 tackles, 4 TFL, 1 sack,
1 int., 3 PBU, 1 FF*
Allen should get plenty of
opportunity vs. the passhappy Cowboys, and thats a chance he
relishes. This season, its not been often
that a team will willingly pass at the
receiver hes covering.
2. Frankie Williams 6
5-9, 186, R-Fr.
Defensive Tackle
1. Bruce Gaston Jr. 90
6-2, 303, Jr.
26 tackles, 5.5 TFL, 2 FR,
2 FF*
Gaston could put his name
out for early NFL consideration, probably to gauge where experts
think hed get selected, but hell almost
undoubtedly be back next season. Hes
a good player that could be even better
with another year at Purdue.
2. Ryan Watson 92
6-3, 294, Fr.
Middle Linebacker
1. Joe Gilliam 39
6-1, 227, So.
53 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 1 sack, 1 PBU, 1 FF*
Gilliam has started a full regular season
now at MLB, and the experience began
to show in the second half of the year.
Hell be critical vs. OSU, one would think, because of
the Cowboys zone-read offense that focuses on
and tries to exploit the linebackers.
2. Antwon Higgs 5
6-3, 246, Sr.
Free Safety
1. Taylor Richards 4
5-10, 192, So.
47 tackles, 0.5 sacks,
6 PBU, 1 punt blk.*
The second half of Richards
season was better than the
first, and you like to see that kind of progression out of a young player. He made
a big play in the bowl game last season,
picking off a pass, and would like to get
career interception No. 2 vs. OSU.
2. E.J. Johnson 7
6-1, 185, So.
Defensive End
1. Ryan Russell 99
6-5, 275, So.
30 tackles, 7.5 TFL, 3 sacks,
1 PBU, 1 FR*
Purdue thought Russell
would be the next in line
of its great defensive ends,
and he still could be. But hell need to
turn into more of a playmaker, as his
three sacks fell well short of expectations.
2. Greg Latta 91
6-6, 265, Jr.
Strongside Linebacker
1. Robert Maci 58
6-4, 249, Sr. (5)
36 tackles, 6.5 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 FR, 2 FF*
Maci could be a key part of the game plan
for the Boilermakers, who will try to adjust
on the fly to the Cowboys multiple offensive looks. He can move to either linebacker or defensive
end, depending on what the Boilers want to try to take
away.
2. Nnamdi Ezenwa 18
6-2, 225, Sr. (5)
Strong Safety
1. Landon Feichter 44
6-0, 189, So.
76 tackles, 2 TFL, 4 int.*
Feichter put together an
impressive season, particularly considering few would
have expected him to play such a large
role. Charlot has played some linebacker,
so if the Boilermakers go to a nickel package vs. the wide-open Cowboy offense,
youd think hed play a big part.
2. Max Charlot 34
6-0, 201, Sr.
Cornerback
1. Josh Johnson 28
5-11, 195, Sr.
58 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 sack,
3 int., 16 PBU, 2 FR, 3 FF*
Johnson should get plenty
of opportunities for pass
breakups vs. the Cowboys, and thats
good, because hes only four from tying
Purdues all-time mark. Hes having his
best season and has put together an
impressive career.
2. Anthony Brown 9
5-11, 185, Fr.
