Brandon Bird The Eastern Idaho State Fair has been a part of the Eastern Idaho Community for 116 years bringing people of all ages and walks of life together to celebrate Idaho's rich agricultural history. We're proud to say that over the last 116 years, the Fair has grown into Eastern Idaho's largest annual event, setting an all-time attendance record of nearly 240,000 last year. The Fair is the place for Food, Friends, Family, and Fun in Eastern Idaho. This year's theme, HAPPY TOGETHER, embodies the memories and experiences only found at the Fair! In 2017 an additional day was added, making the annual event 9 days! 8 days simply was not enough to see all that the Fair has to offer. Now opening on Friday, August 31st, take advantage of the extra day to look for all day entertainment throughout the fairgrounds, from the grandstand events to free stage acts, from the carnival to the exhibits, and most importantly, your favorite fair food! EASTERN IDAHO STATE FAIR A REFLECTION OF OUR GREAT COMMUNITY: Our Fair has grown from a stock show, which started in 1902, to a Multi-County District Fair that now represents 16 counties in Eastern Idaho. Our success is the result of EISF's commitment to providing wholesome, affordable, family-oriented entertainment and educating the public by connecting them to the values and benefits of Idaho agriculture. Our food is a main draw for most fairgoers, and many return each year to enjoy their favorite Fair Food. The Fair excels in the breadth of competitions, entertainment and educational activities now packed into nine days. Our success is the result of endless support from Fair Staff, Board of Directors, our vendors and countless volunteers who make the Fair experience pleasant for everyone.
