"Innovation" was selected as the event theme to reect the France- Singapore Year of Innovation 2018, jointly declared by Singapore and France when then-French President François Hollande visited the island-nation in March 2017. A world of classics In brief: Held annually as a 4D3N event, the HP Supplies Leadership Summit 2018 gathered together partners from Asia Pacic and the Japan region for dinner events, business meetings and recreational activities in Guilin, China from May 29 to June 1. Event organiser Campaign Technologies was tasked to host this year's edition with the overarching theme of 'Game On'. Venue: Shangri-La Hotel Guilin and Reed Flute Cave, Guilin, China Programme: Delegates enjoyed a welcome dinner, plenary and breakout sessions and networking dinners at the Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin and recreational activities, where they could pick from ve specially crafted tours. Concluding the event was a gala dinner at the Reed Flute Cave. Talking Point: The welcome dinner featured an LED lion and dragon dance, a striking 3D stage set. A hit with the delegates were the four themed breakout rooms that took delegates through dierent stages of 'journey" to the 'originals' – a twist on the Chinese classic, "Journey to the West" – that helped drive home the key message of using original products versus non- originals.
