Feature Events 46 JUL-AUG 2018 MEETINGS & CONVENTIONS MCMAG-ASIA.COM Dazzled by colours In brief: In line with YPO Global Leadership Conference, amc asia was tasked to handle its YPO GLC opening social on March 5 and YPO Edge closing on March 9. With the overall theme of 'Defy Convention', the agency was tasked to push the boundaries of convention, build a community and bring YPO members through an adventure of discovery across dierent themes. Venue: Flower Field Hall at Gardens by the Bay (Opening night), and Cliord Pier, Landing Point, Monti, Lantern and La Brasserie at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore (Closing night) Programme: The opening social revolved around the theme "Seeing is Disbelieving" where 1,900 guests were invited into a world of magic at Gardens by the Bay. Key visuals were inspired by cross- sections of plants and fruits to create a kaleidoscopic pattern in line with the tagline. This was enhanced by experimental and innovative food preparation and presentation methods – from edible owerpots to Mac and Cheese muns – where what you see might not be what you taste. For the closing social attended by 2,800 guests, the team created an immersive journey of the senses to reect the theme "Curious Experiences of The Imaginarium". The Main Stage at Cliord Pier/Landing Point showcased snippets from "Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress" and musical performances from Thai celebrity Tata Young and DJ Aldrin, while the Lantern was transformed into an imaginative futuristic land for a skyline soiree. At Monti, guests were immersed in a seductive world of jazz paired with creations of cocktails and whiskey, while La Brasserie provided a chill-out area for networking while enjoying the Singpore bay view. Talking Point: F&B was the highlight for the opening social at Gardens by the Bay, where the menu was inspired by nature with edible ower pots and creatively presented via bonsai gardens and sugar elds. For the closing social, the spaces utilised were the highlight, thanks to the exclusive buy-out of the Fullerton area for more than 2,000 people, complemented by unique programming.
