Boeser // Not really. I just wanted to make the team at first and then as the season went along, I think I gained confidence as I was scoring and I think that helped a ton. That really showed me I can play in the league and I need to carry that with me into this season. MHJ // Does that add more pressure heading into this season? How do you handle that? Boeser // There's always pressure, at least you think there's pressure, but I try not to let pressure situa- tions get the most of me. I definitely exceeded my expectations [last season], so I think I can take that into [this season]. MHJ // Now to the fun stuff—best video game? Boeser // Fortnite. I'm all right (at the game), I'd say I'm up there (as best on the Canucks team). When you get hurt you get a lot of playing time. *Editor's note: Boeser missed the final 20 games of the season with a lower-back injury MHJ // What's the best thing about Minnesota Hockey? Boeser // Just how much passion people have for the game. You can't beat it. Vancouver Canucks forward (Burnsville/University of North Dakota) def. // Scoring top shelf, with the puck hitting the roof of the net.
