GUESTLIST RECOMMENDS: NYMFO 48 ISSUE 111 / 2018 Chase & Status will showcase RTRN II JUNGLE with huge show at Printworks. Consistently releasing quality music on labels like Spearhead, Commercial Suicide and RAM since his debut in 2007 on Renegade Recording's 'Calligraphy EP'. Nymfo aka Bardo Camp has collaborated with prominent artists including Icicle, Cern, and Black Sun Empire along the way to becoming a name who is celebrated for producing drum and bass of the highest calibre. His latest release, the "Twisted Funk EP" on Dispatch Recordings, only further solidifies his position as one of the current torchbearers for the technical side of the Drum and Bass scene. Amsterdam based Nymfo was winner of best 'Dutch Drum and Bass DJ' in 2005 and is a true DJ at heart. These 4 cuts of classic Nymfo rolling loveliness have certainly been made with this in mind and are aimed steadily at creating dance floor vibes. More at Guestlist.net One of bass music's biggest acts, Chase & Status, are heading to Printworks in November for an epic party with some seriously special guests. Old and new will collide on a line up curated by Chase & Status themselves, representing all aspects jungle. My Nu Leng, Randall and Benny L are just some of the names who'll be joining the duo in what will be their hotly-anticipated album's biggest launch party. A major feature will of course be the new album: recorded in Kingston, Jamaica will Saul explained: "What we wanted to do was to create authentic, new, Jungle - and go to the source; where the culture and all the inspiration came from". Coming 15 years after the pair first began their musical journey, it's a return to their original roots and the sound that shaped their career. ALBUM OF THE MONTH: VILLEM & MCLOED Villem & McLeod's album is nothing short of perfection. After two years writing, this soulful duo's album will finally be dropping on 14th September. Entitled 'Playing the Changes', it's a musical journey across their unique sound that's had the scene vibing hard over the last few years. It's a funky gem, delving deep into all things liquid in what is a testament to their well earned status in 2018. The Ipswich duo explain that the album was made "over a two year period of dramatic changes for us both". Through highs and lows it's them "trying to navigate our way through life, using that as inspiration to complete a dream we'd always talked about". The end result is an album moulded to stand the test of time, and a fucking good listen. Villem & McLeod have been smashing the clubbing game, regularly setting things off at Spearhead & Soul In Motion events. They've also had themselves featured on a range of influential labels including Metalheadz, CIA & Horizons.
