It was the perfect welcome lunch for me and my husband, John; we had taken the 1½-hour ight from Boston that morning for a fun and convenient foodie escape. For those still caught in the negative headlines of Baltimore, Charm City has recently become a hip, happening destination. Entrepreneurs have turned old factories and abandoned buildings into breweries, restaurants, hotels, and food halls providing tantalizing places to eat, drink, and spend the night. Challenged neighborhoods are being refurbished, and swaths of millennials, makers, and young techies are CHARM CITY Baltimore is going through an urban renaissance, and makes a great weekend getaway spot this fall.
