NOVEMBER 2018 THE WOLVERINE 79   MICHIGAN IN THE PROS action in 2018, serving as Pat Mahomes' backup for the 5-1 Chiefs. • Willie Henry (2012-15), DT, Balti- more Ravens: Only participated in two games (missed the first four while re- covering from umbilical hernia surgery), but has still managed to compile two tackles and a sack for the 4-2 Ravens. • Delano Hill (2013-16), S, Seattle Seahawks: Competed in four of 3-3 Se- attle's six showdowns (missed two with a hamstring injury), but the only stat he has accumulated has been one tackle. • Khalid Hill (2013-17), FB, Seattle Seahawks: Resides on the 3-3 Se - ahawks' injured reserve list and has not played in 2018. • Mo Hurst (2013-17), DT, Oakland Raiders: Started five of the six tilts he has competed in with 1-5 Oakland, and registered 12 tackles, two sacks, three passes defended and a forced fumble. • Kyle Kalis (2012-16), OG, Cleveland Browns: Remains on the 2-3-1 Browns' practice squad and has not appeared in a game. • Joe Kerridge (2011-15), FB, Green Bay Packers: Is a member of 3-2-1 Green Bay's 10-man practice squad and has not been activated this year. • Taylor Lewan (2009-13), OT, Ten- nessee Titans: Received the starting job in all five games he has participated in (missed the Sept. 16 victory over Hous- ton with a concussion) for the 3-3 Titans. • Jourdan Lewis (2010-13), CB, Dal- las Cowboys: Competed in five con- tests and notched three tackles to go along with a fumble recovery he ran back 14 yards in the 3-3 Cowboys' 19-16 overtime loss at Houston Oct. 7. • Erik Magnuson (2012-16), OL, San Francisco 49ers: Missed the season's first two contests with a hamstring injury, and has seen action at center, guard and tackle in three of the four games since for the 1-5 49ers. • Patrick Omameh (2008-12), OG, New York Giants: Has started at right guard in all six of the 1-5 Giants' clashes. • Jabrill Peppers (2014-16), S, Cleveland Browns: Earned the start- ing nod at safety in every tilt for the 2-3-1 Browns, and recorded 23 tackles, two passes defended and a fumble re- covery … Has also been a regular on special teams, averaging 7.7 yards on 13 punt returns and 21.9 yards on 11 kicks brought back. • Jake Rudock (2015), QB, Detroit Lions: Has found a home on the 2-3 Lions' practice squad and has not been activated in 2018. • Jake Ryan (2010-14), LB, Green Bay Packers: Placed on 3-2-1 Green Bay's in- jured reserve and will miss the entire 2018 campaign after tearing his ACL Aug. 1. • Michael Schofield (2009-13), OG, Los Angeles Chargers: Has been given the starting nod at right guard in each of the 4-2 Chargers' first six tilts. • Dymonte Thomas (2013-16), S, Denver Broncos: Hasn't started any games, but has received playing time in five of 2-4 Denver's contests and re- corded three tackles. • Matt Wile (2011-14), P, Minnesota Vikings: Served as the 3-2-1 Vikings' pri- mary punter this season… Punted 26 times for a 44.4-yard average, including a long of 70 yards … Has also downed 10 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line. • Jarrod Wilson (2012-15), S, Jack- sonville Jaguars: Saw time in all six of the 3-3 Jaguars' games (no starts), but has recorded just five tackles. • Chris Wormley (2012-16), DL, Bal- timore Ravens: Played in six show- downs (four starts) for the 4-2 Ravens, and compiled six tackles, one sack and three passes defended. The MLB RICH HILL SHINED WHEN DODGERS NEEDED HIM MOST Veteran left-handed pitcher Rich Hill came up huge for the Dodgers late in the year, in both the regular sea- son and the playoffs. With Los Ange- les playing for their postseason lives, Hill's final two September starts saw the 38-year-old throw a combined 14 innings (seven in each start) and only give up one earned run (0.64 ERA). He then started the National League Division Series matchup at Atlanta Oct. 8, and pitched 4 1 ⁄3 innings while yielding just two runs. The effort was more than enough for Los Angeles to grab a 4-2 victory to clinch that best- of-five series in four games. FORMER WOLVERINES WHO ENDED THE REGULAR-SEASON ON MLB ROSTERS Through Oct. 15 • Rich Hill (Played at U-M from 2000-02), SP, Los Angeles Dodgers: Ended the 2018 campaign with an 11-5 record and 3.66 ERA in 24 starts for the NL West champion Dodgers. • Ryan LaMarre (2008-11), OF, Chi- cago White Sox: Played in 43 games with the Twins before being claimed off waiv- ers by the White Sox in July, and went on to appear in 33 tilts with them … Tallied a combined .279 batting average with two homers, 18 RBI and a .322 on base percentage between the two clubs. • Clayton Richard (2005), SP, San Di- ego Padres: Capped off a disappoint- ing 2018 campaign with a 7-11 record and 5.33 ERA in 158 2 ⁄3 innings over 27 starts … Led the team in both starts and innings thrown, while checking in second in strikeouts with 108. FORMER WOLVERINES ON NBA ROSTERS • Trey Burke (Played at U-M from 2011-13), PG, New York Knicks: Aver- aged 8.2 points and 1.8 assists per game during the preseason for the Knicks … Appears to have a solid shot at claiming the team's starting point guard role. • Jamal Crawford (1999-2000), SF, Phoenix Suns: Signed a one-year deal with the Suns (his eighth different fran- chise) Oct. 15, and will be expected to compete for their unsettled starting point guard position. • Tim Hardaway Jr. (2010-13), SF, New York Knicks: Finished last year as the Knicks' second leading scorer (17.5 points per game) and is a lock to start heading into the upcoming campaign — whether it's at shooting guard or small forward remains to be seen. • Caris LeVert (2012-16), SG, Brook- lyn Nets: Started all four preseason contests, and appeared to have a leg up on DeMarre Carroll to earn a start- ing job heading into the regular season. • Duncan Robinson (2014-18), SF, Miami Heat: On Oct. 13, the Heat an- nounced their 14-man roster for 2018, and it included Robinson, who is on a two-way contract with the organization … He will play for Miami's entry in the G-League, the Sioux Falls (South Dakota) Skyforce, and can spend 45 days with the Heat. • Glenn Robinson III (2012-14), SF, Detroit Pistons: Averaged 9.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest off the bench in the preseason, and is pro- jected to serve the same role once the 2018 campaign gets underway. • Nik Stauskas (2012-14), SG, Port- land Trail Blazers: Registered 8.6 points and 3.2 boards per game in five pre- season outings, and is expected to see "14-18 minutes per game," according to Peter Sampson of BlazersEdge.com. • Moe Wagner (2015-18), C, Los Ange- les Lakers: Missed the entire preseason with a knee contusion, and will be "medi- cally reevaluated at the beginning of the season," per head coach Luke Walton.
