The transaction is a strategic complement to BASF's crop protection, biotech and digital farming activities and marks its entry into seed, non- selective herbicides and nematicide seed treatments. About 4,500 employees join BASF through the acquisition. The agreements include Bayer's global glufosinate- ammonium business; seeds businesses including traits, research and breeding capabilities, and trademarks for key row crops in select markets; the vegetable seeds business; the research and development platform for hybrid wheat; a range of seed treatment products; certain glyphosate-based herbicides in Europe, used predominantly for industrial applications; the complete digital farming platform xarvio; and certain non-selective herbicide and nematicide research projects. To reflect the expanded scope of its agriculture business, BASF has renamed the division from Crop Protection to Agricultural Solutions. In addition, the division has established a new global business unit for seeds and traits. Tiger-Sul Adds Harrington to Marketing Team Tiger-Sul Products has added BJ Harrington to its marketing team, broadening the company's ability to reach new markets and to better serve existing markets. Harrington will drive marketing and new initiatives for Tiger-Sul. He comes to Tiger-Sul with the experience of successfully leading projects and supporting marketing communications efforts in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions over his career. He has a broad range of experience in the agricultural and industrial sectors driving long-term strategies and overseeing product launches.
