SV 371 has excellent yield and sugar for very high revenue. It is very good against Aphanomyces and Rhizoctonia. SV 375 is a very sweet variety with high yield, excellent Rhizoctonia resistance, and great Aphanomyces and Cercospora tolerance. The purity of SV genetics helps increase these two varieties' sugar per ton. SV conducted an early sugar trial in 2018, collecting data multiple times from four different locations. When American Crystal growers are on the early rotation to open fields for pre- stockpile beginning mid-August, they want to know which varieties will help maximize revenue per acre with the early harvest payment structure.
