presentS recruiting news and notes Recruiting Roundup BY GOLD AND BLACK STAFF PURDUE PICKS UP TWO The Boilermakers scored two immediate verbal commitments during the first official visit weekend of the Darrell Hazell Era at Purdue, as Ohioans Antoine Miles and Dezwan Polk gave the coach their word. Miles, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive end from Canton McKinley, picked Purdue over Kentucky, West Virginia and Pittsburgh; Polk, a 6-4, 210-pound linebacker, picked the Boilermakers over a slew of Mid-American Conference offers. Miles in particular was an important get for Purdue, which has a pressing need on the defensive line. ���I loved the visit,��� said Miles, Rivals.com Defensive end Antoine Miles was one of two recruits to commit to Purdue during the weekend, with more commitments likely to come this week. a Rivals.com three-star prospect. ���When I went there, it was really welcoming. Everybody was nice, all the coaches made me feel like I was at home and all the players took me under their wing. It was just a good visit. ���I like Coach Hazell. Everybody���s excited.��� It was an important weekend for Purdue, which hosted seven official visitors.
