The Swiss national brings with him three decades of hospitality management experience, with more than 20 years spent in Thailand. André has held senior management roles at leading Thai hotels including The Regent Bangkok, The Imperial Queen's Park Hotel, Plaza Athénée Bangkok and Le Royal Méridien Phuket Yacht Club, prior to joining Centara in 2005 at the then Sotel Centara Grand Central Plaza Bangkok. He also spent time in Vietnam with the famed Sotel Metropole Hanoi. Adrian Chan has been named the new general manager of Sanya Marriott Hotel Dadonghai Bay and The Shanhaitian Resort Sanya, Autograph Collection. Prior to his appointment, Chan was the pre-opening hotel manager for Rosewood Sanya. His career in hospitality began at the Calgary Marriott, including operational roles with international luxury brands Fairmont, IHG, MGM, Swire and Rosewood. He has held the role of hotel manager roles for several pre- opening properties including The Temple House by Swire Hotels. Jill Kluge will assume the role of chief marketing ocer at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, succeeding Michael Hobson, who will retire on December 31. Kluge is currently Mandarin Oriental's group director of brand communications, where she oversees all aspects of the group's corporate communications strategies. She rst joined the group in 1991 as group public relations manager. Prior to that, Kluge has held sales and marketing positions in a variety of international hotel brands in the UK and Asia. Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Melaka has welcomed Klaus Sennik as its new general manager. Sennik was previously general manager at the Ramada Plaza Bangkok Menam Riverside hotel. He brings with him experience from working in countries such as Thailand, Hong Kong, Dubai, Kenya, Germany, Indonesia and Afghanistan. Having begun his hospitality career as a chef, Sennik has risen through the ranks, with more recent roles including director of food & beverage at Hotel Nikko, Kuala Lumpur. David Calvet has been appointed general manager of Tawaravadee Resort, BW Signature Collection by Best Western, a new up- country retreat in Thailand's Prachinburi province. He was most recently general manager of ibis Styles Bangkok Sukhumvit 50. Calvet has worked for international hotels in Bangkok and Phuket over the last 20 years, and also spent more than three years as directeur général of École d'Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule, an international hospitality school in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
