He has coached at four Olympic Games, five World Championships, and hundreds of top international events around the world. During Erik's years with the New Zealand team, five different riders won 10 CCI4* events around the world, and in 2013 the New Zealand riders won every CCI4* in the northern hemisphere under his leadership. Prior to working with the New Zealand Equestrian Team, Erik worked with the Swedish Eventing Team as coach and took on the responsibility of putting together a high performance training program. He was also commissioned by the Swedish Olympic Committee to specifically coach Sara Algottson, individual silver medalist at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and Linda Algottson, double World Cup Final winner and two-time European Championship individual silver medalist.
