Aerodynamic
side skirt panel
Crane Composites' Aerodynamic Side Skirt Panel, an
exterior side skirt for refrigerated and dry van trailers,
is engineered for high-impact strength, durability and
flexibility and is made with a woven fiberglass fabric
and polyester resin matrix for a high strength-toweight ratio and enhanced weatherability. Available in
a 0.135-inch thickness, the panel is designed to allow
for bending up to 90 degrees both ways and to offer a
high-quality smooth surface for custom graphic applications; the panel also is available in custom colors.

Vortex generator
Battery load tester
Clore's Model CT3 Continuous Duty Battery Load Tester from Christie
uses a 250-amp fixed load to simulate actual vehicle cranking loads in a
variety of shop and fleet maintenance environments. The CT3 is engineered to enable assessment of 6V and 12V battery state of charge, battery capacity and charging system output; a color-coded display provides
test results in simple pass/fail zones. The CT3 has an acid-proof cabinet,
vinyl-coated clamps and an externally mounted load resistor to facilitate
continuous-use testing.

Avantechs' VorBlade Wing System, designed to improve
aerodynamics for trucks and trailers, has been verified
by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay Program for fuel savings and emissions reduction
and also meets the California Air Resources Board's
aerodynamic technology requirement for trailers. The
lightweight vortex generator is designed to reduce
aerodynamic drag and mitigate detrimental crosswind
effects and does not require any operating or maintenance procedures.
