Meetings and events are well-catered for with venues spanning 1,298sqm, with a ballroom that can cater for up to 500, a crescent- shaped venue that sits 120 in banquet setting and ve meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 40 per room. Adding one of the city's largest convention spaces, Mövenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA opened doors minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The 333-key hotel is connected directly to a 1,287sqm exhibition space, a 777sqm circular hall, seven discussion rooms, ten seminar rooms and the vast Main Hall, which covers 2,386sqm and can be divided into four separate spaces. The hotel also features four modern meeting rooms and two boardrooms. Polishing up the city's luxury appeal are a slew of new openings in glitzy mixed-used developments. In March, the city's prime "Golden Triangle" is set to welcome EQ, which sets foot as part of a multi-use 52-storey building. Perched on oors 29 to 52, the 440-key urban hotel also oers stylish banquet halls, meeting rooms, and conference facilities for meetings. On the top oor, guests can take in stunning city views from the impressive rooftop Sky Restaurant and Bespoke Lounge. In late-2019, INNSIDE Kuala Lumpur Cheras will open within integrated development, Eko Cheras, which comprises a four-storey shopping mall of 288 retail and 105 oce units. The property will oer 238 rooms with contemporary deco across its 13 oors, including an executive lounge on the rooftop. Standout features include creative meetings facilities and a green terrace with a gardening deck. Perhaps the most anticipated is the debut of Kempinski in 2020. The 68-storey 8 Conlay Kempinski Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur will oer 260 rooms and 300 suites, while the 57-storey and 62-storey blocks of YOO8 serviced by Kempinski together will oer 498 and 564 residential units. Another high-yer will be the Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur atop the Merdeka PNB 118 tower, set to be Southeast Asia's tallest skyscraper in 2021. The hotel will oer 232 guestrooms, including 28 suites and 30 residential apartments. Meetings can be held at the hotel's more than 1,858 sqm of exible meeting spaces. In the last quarter of 2021, Canopy by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur will join the mixed-use Bukit Bintang City Centre development.
