n n n n INDUSTRY NEWS PRW Industries Announces New Location & Staff Additions PRW Industries, a manufacturer of high-performance engine components, has announced that it will be relocating to Perris, Calif., in mid-February. The company, which was founded in Placentia, Calif., in 2004, will move its warehouse distribution center and corporate offices to the new location on February 15. In addition, the company recently announced the addition of two new staff members. Chris Roberts joins the company as a Product Manager and Quality Control Manager. According to PRW, Chris has an extensive background in the performance aftermarket and will be responsible for purchasing and inventory control, new product development and more. Erin Post was also recently hired at PRW. She will serve as the company's Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer, and will be responsible for PRW's social networking, press releases and all marketing needs. Goodguys to Make Changes to "Terrific 12" Awards for 2013 Season A new award will be given out as part of Goodguys' "Terrific 12" award series, Goodguys has announced on its website. The Goodguys 2013 Grundy Worldwide Insurance AutoCrosser of the Year award will be presented to the winner of the Goodguys AutoCross Finals Shootout, scheduled to take place on November 16, 2013, at the Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale, Ariz. The AutoCrosser of the Year award, which is open to all pre1973 AutoCross vehicles, will be given in the place of the "Kustom of the Year" award. The Terrific 12 awards are the highest honors given out by Goodguys to recognize automotive excellence in a variety of categories. Goodguys presents its Terrific 12 awards at select events throughout the season. The winners of the awards receive a custom Snap-on Tool Box, coverage in the Goodguys Gazette and Goodguys Yearbook, and are provided travel accommodations to attend the Goodguys Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale. The Terrific 12 awards will continued to be given in the following categories: West Coast Custom of the Year, Street Rod d' Elegance, Hot Rod of the Year, Street Rod of the Year, Street Machine of the Year, America's Most Beautiful Street Rod, Custom Rod of the Year, Muscle Car of the Year, Muscle Machine of the Year, Truck of the Year- Early and Truck of the Year-Late. Petersen Automotive Museum Appoints New Board of Directors Chairman The Petersen Automotive Museum of Los Angeles has announced that Peter Mullin has been named the Board of Directors Chairman, effective immediately. Mullin will join Vice Chairs Bruce Meyer and David Sydorick in leading the Board. "Peter Mullin is admired worldwide as a businessman, car collector and community leader – his unique ability to merge these three worlds will be a tremendous asset to the Museum and we're thrilled about this announcement," said Terry Karges, the Museum's executive director. "This is a 'dream team' whose vision will help us become one of the world's most exciting automotive destinations." Mullins, who has served on several on the boards of various organizations and is the Founder and Chairman of the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, Calif., will be responsible for leading the Museum in preparation for its 20th anniversary. He will also aim to raise awareness about the Museum on a national and international platform. Mullins is also an avid automotive enthusiast whose 1934 Voisin C-25 Aerodyne took home "Best of Show" at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. "I'm honored and excited — this is an opportunity to breathe new life into an icon of Los Angeles' car culture," Mullin said in a press release. "We have exciting plans to grow the collection and make architectural improvements that will make the Petersen a must-see destination for enthusiasts worldwide. Robert E. Petersen built a testament to the automobile. As we approach the museum's 20th anniversary we will transform it into the world-class experience anyone with a passion for the automobile will want to see."
