F I N A N C I A L R E P O R T 2 0 1 8 1 J esus told his followers that "the harvest is plentiful and the laborers few." I am deeply grateful to the faithful of northern Colorado for their wonderful generosity that has enabled the apostolates of the archdiocese to go out into the harvest. Here are just a few of the fruits from this year's labors. In August 2018, 5,000 leaders from all over the archdiocese gathered to celebrate the 25th anniversary of World Youth Day in Denver and to launch the More an You Realize discipleship movement. e enthusiasm, joy and grace present were palpable, and the wheels are now in motion for this movement to spread throughout the archdiocese. e youth of the archdiocese are close to my heart, and so I am very pleased that the archdiocese was able to purchase and open Annunciation Heights youth and family camp. is camp will provide many opportunities for the Gospel to be shared with many generations to come. is past year saw the opening of the Prophet Elijah House for retired priests on the campus of the St. John Paul II Center. It has been uplifting to see people step forward to help fund this home, which already has priests in residence. Your generosity has also helped us to continue to reach out to the poor and open the Smith Road Shelter for Women, continue the education of our seminarians, give nancial assistance to our Catholic Schools and run so many other programs. I invite you to read more in the following pages about how the archdiocese is striving to go out into the harvest and inviting others to encounter Jesus Christ. ank you for your continued support of the Archdiocese of Denver, and may God bless you and your families!
