Welcome Start your SXSW EDU with intention! As we kick off the ninth annual SXSW EDU, it's important to reflect on how we approach creating your experience. The value of convening extends well beyond the individual sessions you attend and in designing the event, we work hard to support community interactions both inside and outside of our programming. Through our networking initiatives spanning from pop-up dinners to attendee matching, we are bringing a renewed focus to what has long been a core part of SXSW EDU — serendipity. To get the most out of your time here, we strongly encourage you to seize each opportunity to make connections, grow your network, and get introduced to new ideas. More than ever, the embrace of mindfulness in all aspects of learning provides an opportunity to be intentional and reflect on how we, ourselves, leverage those practices in our learning. Utilize the interactive learning content at the beginning of each day to maximize the practical benefits of your time here this week and to help digest your experience. Be cognizant of your learning pathway, how you direct it, and what you will bring back to your work in the weeks and months that follow — and don't forget to embrace discovery along the way!
