2019 marks the 26th Edition of the SXSW Film
Festival and we are proud and privileged to play
a role in so many careers launched and artists
discovered. We can't wait to celebrate the vision
and talent of this year's filmmakers. Featuring
provocative documentaries, outrageous comedies,
genre outliers and more, our festival is known for
the high caliber and diversity of films presented,
and for its smart, enthusiastic audiences.
The lineup includes 133 feature films consisting
of 102 World Premieres, 9 North American
Premieres, 3 U.S. Premieres, and 62 feature
films from first-time filmmakers. The lineup also
features 101 Shorts and Music Videos, 5 Episodic
Premieres, 12 Episodic Pilots, 30 Title Sequences,
and 26 Virtual Reality projects.
These films were
selected from a pool
of 2,361 feature-length
film submissions,
with a total of 8,496
films submitted
for consideration.
