Rhyme Pad Radio was born back in 2009 and broadcasts live on 105 FM in Cambridge and the surrounding areas. Now 2013 sees the station going it alone bigger and better and now independently. It broadcasts from their new site and home at www.rhymepadradio.co.uk. Supporting fresh talent, as well as keeping you up to date with what's going on in the local scene of Cambridge. This station also plays the latest worldwide hip hop that you wouldn't normally get to hear on the radio, so expect to hear some hidden gems and some old classics. This isn't your standard radio station so prepare your ears for an audio treat. The next event to check out this 23rd February is Hinge Finger Presents Just for You, launching with Joy Orbison, Ben UFO, Mister Saturday Night, Raime. Then in March it's Paul Kalkbrenner on the 1st. Last year the studios hosted some awesome parties. One of our highlights was the Hyrdra Parties Series who introduced Berlin's Ostgut Ton. Bringing over their label mainstays Marcel Dettmann, Marcel Fengler, Prosumer and Nick Hoppner, they're here to fly the flag for the techno label. DRINKS Absolutely top swank spirits and mixers. All the wine is either natural or biodynamic, and the standard beer is Asahi. Alongside this, they have some excellent nosh for people daring to enter during the daytime. Loads of healthy coffees and chocolate. VIBES Incredible visuals and lighting, home to Oval Arts during the day. A massive evolving multiarts and events space, with beautiful views across London - wonderful if you're around to watch the sunrise. DRINKS As this is a warehouse space that is hired out by promoters for their parties, the bar is usually provided by outsourced companies like The East London Bar Co. This runs on a raffle ticket basis, money in exchange for drink tokens etc. VIBES Transformed from a redundant print works, there are over 70 studios and workshops, and several archways, rooftops and to excite your curiosity, a wonderful secret garden. Beautiful big graffiti works and an absolutely pumping energy. A sizeable number of top artists have contributed to this label. These include legends such as Reboot, Guti, Maya Jane Coles, Huxley, Matthias Meyer, Eric Morillo and Kenny Larkin. I could go on and on with this list, but the better thing to do would be to check them out for yourself and see what I mean!
