Off the Top News and Updates from the Sugarbeet industry Lindsay, Nutrien Partner to Improve Water Use Efficiency Lindsay Corporation and Nutrien Ag Solutions announce a partnership that will enable Nutrien crop consultants (the company has over 3,500) to leverage Lindsay's remote irrigation management and scheduling platform to supplement Nutrien's offerings. Through this partnership, Lindsay and Nutrien will also automate the transfer of as-applied data from Lindsay's FieldNET Advisor to the Nutrien Ag Solutions digital platform to strengthen growers' ability to optimize water application amount and timing at every point throughout their fields. This collaboration means that Nutrien can now add FieldNET Advisor to its digital and agronomic offerings, enabling growers to better streamline water usage as part of their overall field management plan. UPL Completes Acquisition of Arysta UPL Limited announces the completion of its acquisition of Arysta LifeScience Inc. from Platform Specialty Products for $4.2 billion. The completion of the transaction, which was signed in July 2018, marks a major step in the history of UPL. The acquisition further strengthens UPL's position as a global leader in agricultural solutions. The transaction received unconditional regulatory approvals from authorities across the globe. The company has already announced global, regional and country leadership teams for the integrated entity. Integration is running ahead of schedule, and the entire management team is focused on value creation and securing synergies post- closing. Agri-Service Opens New Location To best serve customers throughout western Idaho and eastern Oregon, Agri-Service has opened a new state-of- the-art facility in Fruitland, Idaho, and is bringing a new line of tractors to the region. The company has added Fendt tractors, which offer a unique variety of technological features. Agri-Service also purchased additional property in Marsing, Idaho, for a new service facility and is enhancing its parts warehousing there. The expansions in both Fruitland and Marsing are a result of evolving agriculture epicenters, which prompted the closure of Agri-Service facilities in Nyssa, Ore., and Caldwell, Idaho.
