Dame football assistant coach Bob Elliott
underwent a kidney
transplant Feb. 6, the
school announced during head coach Brian
Kelly's National Signing
Day press conference the
same day. Elliott, who
oversees the safeties, has
been dealing with kid-
ney failure for the last 11
months.
Through self-dialysis,
which included hooking
up to an IV on the go, including in his car, office
and the defensive staff
Elliott underwent a kidney transplant Feb. 6 and is expected to be back on the field for spring practice in
late March.
