2013 Team Recruiting Rankings The South rose yet again on the recruiting trail in 2013. Alabama is growing roots at the top of the food chain when it comes to the national rankings. The Crimson Tide finished in first place in every major recruiting service except for Scout.com. Ohio State is the only other team that consistently finished with a higher-rated class than the Irish this year. In other words, the only two coaches to outmaneuver Brian Kelly and his staff during the past 12 months have combined to claim five of the last seven BCS championships. Notre Dame, which finished as low as 22nd and no higher than 10th according to the experts a year ago, clearly felt the impact of a 12-0 regular season on National Signing Day. 247Sports 1.
