Steve Elmer started at
the top.
The 6-5, 300-pound
rising star was ranked
among the top dozen
players in the nation by
247Sports when he first
committed to the Irish as
a junior, and there was no
looking back from there.
His final rating, however, suggested otherwise. Elmer experienced
the biggest drop in the
network — falling to
No. 136 overall.
At the U.S. Army All-American Bowl banquet, Elmer received the Anthony Munoz Award, which is given to
the top prep lineman in the country.
