GUESTLIST 11 7 www.guestlist.net Issue 48 / 2013 LONDON WAREHOUSE EVENTS Warehouse parties are the next big thing this year. Massive names taking over the underground rave scene. London Warehouse Events or LWE are tearing up the conventional music scene this year. This month we have a giant party of psychedelia, dancing, manic lighting, killer sound system and DJ's with SBTRKT, Ram Records and Cocoon Heroes at secret locations. Formed in 2010 by Will Harold, Paul Jack and Alice Favre, they combined their skills to put on a Pryda night with Eric Prydz. In 2011 LWE booked up Skillrex, now absolutely massive because of the outrageous reception. Through his talent and a sprinkling of LWE dust, the rest became history. On the same bill was Pendulum who gave mighty praise, saying that LWE managed to recreate the famed 'rave vibes of '92. These vibes are nurtured with tender loving care, rooted in high production values and bespoke planning. No sound system dumped in a corner at these parties, each venue is assessed and mapped from scratch and built from ground up. Each party takes on its own style and will have you surprised and mesmerised with the exciting and individuality at hand. Maybe it's this perfectionist reputation that widens their scope for booking artists, the offerings have been wide. Artists have ranged from house legends such as Roger Sanchez & Eric Morillo, to deeper sounds such as Seth Troxler and Carl Craig. No taste goes undetected; from Dubstep to Electronica, Drum n' Bass to Breakbeat. Fans have seen the likes of Stanton Warriors through to psychedelic trance legend DJ Astrix. So, take a trip to your nearest super funky pimped up warehouse event. LWE have a few events planned next month firstly they have Cocoon Heroes on 2nd March with Josh Wink and DJ W!ld, then on 15th March get ready for a very special show with SBTRKT.
