WELCOME TO BRAZIL!
ON A BUDGET
ISLANDS
If you want to escape the typical
tourist trails, go and spend some
days on an island.
Ilha de Boipeba: Even though going
to this island takes a 30 min flight
from Salvador, it is an amazing place.
You can even call it "paradise on
earth".
Ilha de Marajo: This island amazes
with the big variety of animals.
You can not only find hundreds of
different tropical birds, but also
water buffaloes, if you are lucky
EATING
5 PLACES TO GO THIS YEAR
You can eat fresh food from a street
vendor or visit the small snack barsthey not only sell fresh made fruit
juices but also low price sandwiches.
Be aware that big portions in
restaurants are normal and are
plenty enough for two people.
One more tip: stick with traditional
Brazilian food, it will always come
cheaper.
Ilha Grande: The island is close to Rio
de Janeiro. With its beautiful beaches
and cheap little hotels it´s the perfect
place to relax.
PARTYING
TRAVELLING
The best and cheapest way to travel
around Brazil is on the bus. This way
you can also see the big variety of
flora and fauna in Brazil. The good
adapted bus system brings you to
all the big cities or small villages.
If you stay in one city, using a taxi or
the underground is another option.
Of course the best way to explore
the cities and see all the sights is by
walking.
Because of the strong tourism,
especially during New Year´s and
Carnival, hotel prices can triple and
it doesn't help booking in advance.
You shouldn't go between April and
July as the city experiences a heavy
rain period.
Between December and March
you should plan your day trips to
the cities on the weekends, when
everybody is off to the beach, then
take advantage of the weekdays to
relax on the now empty wide spread
sands.
The best time to visit the country is
in September or October because
of the warm weather we all crave!
With so many cool things going on in the world, we thought
we'd advise you on the best places to see this year.
1. Iceland - One of the rave hotspots of
Europe.
2. Peru - Get your hiking boots and
discover the ruins of the Incas.
3. Budapest - Enjoy one of the finest
public bathhouses in the world. In winter!
4. Giza - Where else on earth can you go
and see the pyramids?
5. Istanbul - Bazaars, boat rides, historical
buildings and of course the nightlife.
