DRUM N BASS / DUBSTEP 36 www.guestlist.net ARTIST OF THE MONTH B- COMPLEX Issue 48 / 2013 EVENT PREVIEW: FABRICLIVE First discovered by Drum and Bass legend Tony Coleman in 2008, this Slovakian-born drum and bass whizzkid is famous for tracks such as Beautiful Lies which was released to critical acclaim in 2009 on the compilation Sick Music. From there his popularity began to snowball as he released more and more material that kept us jumping for the roof down in the clubs. His musical style varies from the humble yet pumping Winter to the more warm and loving, yet deep and soulful vibe of Girl with a Flower. Real name Matúš Lenický, he began producing tunes in 1996 from the surprising age of 12. Clearly Matus has had music on the mind since a young age and clearly a passion is felt in his tracks. Originally he was interested in Hardcore, Trance and Psytrance but eventually moved onto Downtempo and Hip Hop music, finally settling on the genre we know him best for; Drum and Bass. Since his discovery in 2008 B-Complex has released a slew of feetstomping releases such as Little Oranges and Redemption. Hopefully one day he'll release a full-length album but until then all of us at the Guestlist will continue dancing away. You can always rely on Fabric for the biggest and best parties, week in, week out. 22nd February is set to be no different. DJ Hype, Pascal, Hazard, TC and Mampi Swift will be tearing up room 1 all night. Then in room 2 we have Roni Size, Trim & DJ Begg, Hatcha, Wookie and the one and only Scratch Perverts. Those guys know how to throw down a set, straddling genres from dubstep, hip hop to drum and bass. If it's gonna make you dance then they're gonna be playing it. DJ Hype will be doing what he has been doing since before you were born, you'll be hard pushed to find anyone as committed to his trade as this guy and he always delivers. Room 3 will of course be open too so that all your drum and bass needs will be met wherever you find yourself in this fortress of electronic music.
