PIX
Serenely situated in Covent Garden, take your 'pix' of
Mediterranean bites at this Tapas bar that is sure to set your
taste buds alight.
I met the owner of PIX one Friday night in
Brixton and found myself a couple of weeks
later hungry, and conveniently in Convent
Garden. So I checked this place out. Whoever
said nothing good can come out of talking
to strangers! PIX is a Tapas bar inspired by
the Pintxos bars of Barcelona and sunny San
Sebastian. As I stepped inside, I immediately

THE CLAPTON HART
This pub recently opened it doors in the summer and has already
proved itself to be one of the big contenders to be the best in Hackney.
Formerly the White Hart Hotel, this bustling
venue focuses on real ale and beers from
local micro-breweries to worldwide. Their
food is simple yet tasty with homemade
gnocchi with caponata, tagliatelle or
sausage and mash. The atmosphere is
calm and cosy with high ceilings and bare
brick walls, the open fires create a mellow
mood. The pub has been given a new lease
of life and is doing a good job shaking off
its old reputation. The food is top nosh
and combined with the friendly staff,
cheap prices and inviting space we highly
recommend you go for a visit!
as we enjoyed several glasses of the fine
Spanish wine (Acantus Sauvignon Blanc
was our choice) we could help ourselves to
whichever mouthwatering miniatures took
our fancy. I loved the informality and trusting
nature of PIX, The staff were very friendly
and made sure our glasses were always full
without being intrusive. The patatas bravas
would be enough to lure me back and I will
certainly be returning soon to sample more
of their Tapas treats and a Caipirinha or three!
