BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE
Tyler Shields 'Chromatic' @ Intimate Gallery, Friday February 8th - Saturday March 23rd
Considered by the Daily Mail
to be 'Hollywood's Favourite
Photographer'
and
one
of the "100 Best Things In
The World" by GQ, Tyler
Shields has created quite a
reputation. Returning to the
Intimate Modern Gallery in
Marylebone, he brings us
his explosive mix of colours,
splashes of brightness and
a mix of textures. His new
collection of work, titled
'Chromatic', features the
cast of American TV show
'Revenge' in a paint war, and
also features Sheilds' partner,
Francesca Eastwood, who
Streetdance workshop
@ Southbank Centre, February 19th
What better way to carry on with those
New Year's resolutions of staying fit
and healthy than by shaking a leg or
two and busting a few moves down
at the Streetdance workshop at
the Southbank Centre in Waterloo?
Offering three different time slots
throughout the day (12:00pm, 1:30pm
and 3:00pm), this one is definitely
not to be missed. The Southbank
Centre is famous for its exposure of
contemporary dance, it's variety of
shows, literature, talks and music, all
under their seven different venues
including the infamous Royal Festival
Hall.
he has also featured in
his previous
work. The
'Chromatic' collection utilises
a frenzy of brightly coloured
paint powder, which creates
a contrast between the
variety of hues, warm
lighting and dark silhouettes.
The exhibition runs from
February 8th – Saturday
March 23rd and we suggest
you take a look.
New Bands on the Block
@ Proud, Camden, February 18th
Taking over Proud each and
every Tuesday, New Bands on
the Block bring some of London's
freshest talent to Camden.
Taking over the main room of
the gallery, they showcase the
best of the city with everything
from raw guitar to big beats. This
night promises to push the best
in live music into the spotlight,
giving a well earned leg-up to
local artists. Perhaps the most
intriguing element of this evening
is that the crowd get to decide
which band they think deserves
the grand prize. The night kicks
off around 8pm, so make sure
you get down early, grab a drink
and get ready to witness some
new music.
