Have you ever been going along and,
suddenly, get blindsided by a bad
report? I certainly have. Maybe you hear
something about one of your children,
or the Internal Revenue Service
unexpectedly demands thousands of
dollars. Most of the time, the hardest
thing to deal with is a doctor's report
that leaves you wondering what hit you,
and what in the world do you do now?
There are some very important things
we must do in these situations, and
some equally important things we must
never do. The first, and most important,
is to STOP! BE STILL, and KNOW that
He is GOD. Be quiet. Take authority
over your words immediately because
the power of death and life are in the
tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Your words
will determine the outcome of any
situation, whether it will be victory or
defeat. Immediately engage the help of
the Greater One who lives in you by
praying Psalm 141:3:
3 SET A WATCH, O LORD, BEFORE MY
MOUTH; KEEP THE DOOR OF MY LIPS.
