Welcome, Dr. Heather Steele
Only female medical oncologist in the region
Dr. Steele is a Board-Certified Hematologist and Medical Oncologist at Idaho Cancer
Center at EIRMC. Her medical career began in the Army, where she completed a
residency in internal medicine at D.D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Ft. Gordon,
Georgia and embarked on a hematology/oncology fellowship through the San Antonio
Military Medical Consortium at Ft. Sam Houston.
After completing her training, Dr. Steele was stationed in Landstuhl, Germany were she
cared for active duty troops as well as retirees from all branches of the military and their
families. While at Landstuhl, she was appointed to be Chief of Hematology/Oncology
and upon return to the U.S., continued as the Chief of Hematology/ Oncology at D.D.
Eisenhower Army Medical Center.
