Ensenada’s Top Hotels SCORE racing is only a part of Ensenada’s history, culture and cuisine Aside from being one of the most popular destinations in Mexico, Ensenada is a tourist destination that offers a wide variety of services, including excellent restaurants, arts and crafts, natural attractions, spa’s, wineries, breweries, and of course, spectacular lodging. The city’s growing number of amenities is due to the fact that more than 100 tourist events take place here every year, including the “SCORE International” races. This is one of the reasons why some of the most important International Hotel chains, as well as private investors, have decided to join the tremendous growth and establish themselves in Ensenada and its surroundings. Visiting this area of the Baja Peninsula is under constant change. For example, within the last two years there have been so many new hotels built that it surprises visitors as they come into view when entering the city from either the traditional coastal toll road or from Tecate through the Guadalupe Valley. In total, there are five new hotels to stay in Ensenada that were built within the last two years. Some are beach front sites while others are conveniently located downtown. There are also new hotels that are nestled in the hills surrounded by the area’s spectacular wine country, while others are secluded 20 to 30 room Boutique hotels with spas. For those looking for beachfront luxury, others five to ten story tall hotels in the area offer an incomparable view of the coastline “It’s without a doubt that Ensenada’s tourism services have grown tremendously in the last ten years, including the growing number of choices in places to stay, “ says Victor Celis, President of the Ensenada Hotel Association. The association is an organization established over 28 years ago and boasts more than 30 members, including some of the more traditional hotels as well as the new ones. “We include over 2000 rooms in our three, four, and five-star hotels that stretch from the Guadalupe Valley, as well as in Ensenada, all the way south in San Quintin. That’s something that we know all the “SCORE” race teams will like now that we will have three races this year,” Celis said. SCORE in cooperation with The Ensenada Hotel Association, is helping visitors to Ensenada find a great hotel that can not only serve as a great location to witness the 51st SCORE Baja 500, but also be a launching point to visit and enjoy the many amenities of the area. Below is a listing and contact information of the hotels that are a part of the association. SJ
