www.SugarProducer.com 9 FMC Names Coen U.S. Commercial Director FMC announces a leadership change to fill the role vacated by the planned retirement of its U.S. commercial director, John Kasper. Christina Coen, previously FMC's North America marketing director, has assumed the role of U.S. commercial director for the company. Coen leads marketing for the full FMC portfolio of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, plant health and technology products. She joined FMC in 2017. Christina Coen Off the Top News and Updates from the Sugarbeet industry Helm Hires New Regulatory Affairs Leader Helm Agro US announces the hiring of Matt Granahan as the company's new U.S. regulatory affairs leader. Granahan has more than 15 years of regulatory experience in the U.S. agrochemical industry. In his new role, Granahan will be responsible for overseeing all regulatory and data package clearances for the company's crop protection portfolio, as well as the planning and execution of registration needs at the federal and state level. He will also provide corporate guidance on regulatory strategies and tactics specific to new product and formulation developments. Granahan holds bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences from the University of Kentucky. He currently resides in Raleigh, N.C. Senninger Launches Online Training Courses Senninger Irrigation announces the launch of its new online training courses, now available to all Senninger customers via the Hunter University training portal. The free courses offer in-depth information on irrigation concepts and products, installation recommendations and troubleshooting tips. Senninger is rolling out this new offering with two courses: Understanding Pressure Regulation and LEPA & LESA Close Spacing. The pressure regulation course will allow learners to discover the basics of pressure regulators and learn how to install pressure regulators in different irrigation systems. ASGA Names Summer Intern The American Sugarbeet Growers Association (ASGA) announces the selection of Todd Lackman, son of Scott and Audrey Lackman of Hysham, Mont., as the 2019 ASGA intern. This eight-week summer internship in Washington, D.C., is designed to encourage students from sugarbeet- producing areas to become familiar with and engage in the political process. The goal for this internship is to inspire young agriculture leaders to communicate the importance of appropriate policies and regulations that impact farmers to members of Congress and the administration. It is a tremendous opportunity to work in a fast- paced international city and meet many congressmen and senators. Vestaron Hires Field Development Biologist Daniel Peck is the most recent team member to join Vestaron Corp. As a field development biologist, Peck began orientation by meeting Vestaron's research and development team in Kalamazoo, Mich., earlier this month. Peck earned his bachelor's degree in zoology and entomology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his doctorate in entomology from Cornell University. He is a board-certified entomologist with the Entomological Society of America and a certified senior ecologist with the Ecological Society of America. Peck also has prior experience as an independent consultant in the area of turfgrass entomology; as an assistant professor at Cornell University in the area of soil insect ecology; and as a senior research fellow at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture in Cali, Colombia, in the area of integrated pest management. Dilution Solutions Names Donnell as a Technical Sales Rep Dilution Solutions has named Lori Donnell as a technical sales representative. Donnell brings 20 years of experience working in industrial distribution. Ten of those years were focused on power transmission and fluid power. She has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, is a certified fluid power specialist, and is NAHAD Level 3-certified in industrial and hydraulic hose. As a technical sales representative, Donnell will focus on the Etatron line of electric pumps, industrial controls and metering devices, moving customers to the next level in production.
