Let's begin with 1 Peter 5:5-7:
Now let's look at the Greek word
translated cares. It is the word merimna,
which means "anxiety." The English
definition is "distress" or "uneasiness of
mind caused by fear of danger or
misfortune.
Care and anxiety are part of the curse,
all of which, of course, is fear based.The
phrase "fear not" occurs 95 times in the
Bible: 72 times in the first covenant, and
23 times in the second. The same thing
is said in different ways all over The
WORD of God. For instance, Jesus said
in John 14:27, "Let not your heart be
troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Now, let's analyze some other very
