10 M ilwaukee's name comes from the Algonquian word millioke meaning "good," "beautiful," "pleasant land," and "gathering place." To everyone who attended Usindoor's 19th annual facility operators conference and tradeshow, I hope you found, in the words of USIndoor's president Don Shapero, "the sharing of experiences and ideas, whether through speaker presentations, roundtables, or networking" beneficial when we gathered. As a conference participant representing the Milwaukee Kickers soccer club and Uihlein soccer park, I met industry leaders and facility owners/ managers from across the United States and Canada and was delighted to lead a handful of this year's educational segments. Give and take from asking questions, sharing information and suggesting best practices and ideas fostered a spirit of teamwork that we USIndoor members appreciate and value. On the day of USIndoor's Facility Bus Tour, Milwaukee Kickers executive director alvaro Garcia-velez and I welcomed 60 members to the soccer park facility Bus tour. They asked questions about the facility's ownership, maintenance, customers, and future. Besides America SCORES Milwaukee, Milwaukee Kickers' community outreach is dedicated to offering Milwaukee's central city with afterschool soccer, creative writing, and community service programming that provides high quality development for our community's neediest children. We also partner with and support other nonprofit organizations by sharing information about their causes, donating to fundraisers, and promoting as well as attending their special events. We support our neighborhood and areas near the soccer park by partnering with district officials, chambers of commerce and serving as host to a public "Food Truck Friday" in the summer, bringing together community leaders, neighbors, business owners, and employees. My final presentation the conference paired me with Arnold Zirkes of Net Results on the popular topic of sponsorship. We shared what did and didn't work for
