Aquila wrote in a column penned in November 2017, announcing the process of opening two par- ishes in Denver in response to the growing population. » Father Jason Wunsch (left) and Father James Spahn (below) were installed as the pastors of two new parishes in the Arch- diocese of Denver, St. Gianna Molla in Green Valley Ranch and St. John Paul II in Thornton, respec- tively. While build- ing a new parish community from the ground up has its challenges, both pastors are confi - dent that the Lord will provide for their new communities and allow them to fl ourish.
