WHATCHA READIN'? The ILTA community is filled with avid readers, and here are some of their recent recommendations. WE ARE ANONYMOUS: INSIDE THE HACKER WORLD OF LULZSEC, ANONYMOUS, AND THE GLOBAL CYBER INSURGENCY This book was gripping because the author, Parmy Olson, had direct access to many of the hackers within the group. I was most surprised at the poor backgrounds of many of the elite super hackers who took down Visa and Mastercard. GONE GIRL This is a fictional and very entertaining tale of a wife who goes missing. The husband is blamed, and then there's SO much more than that! — David Michel, Burr & Forman LLP — Phil Weldon, Fox Rothschild LLP WORM: THE FIRST DIGITAL WORLD WAR TELLING AIN'T TRAINING This is a true story about the Conficker worm that was first discovered in 2008. It detailed the story of the computer security experts who came together in 2009 to fight the worm (they even received official support and backing from the U.S. and Chinese governments at one point). Very fascinating, and very scary. This book provides many practical ideas and information that I'm certain will help improve the effectiveness of learning, so that participants remember and will apply what they have learned. Talking just doesn't get the job done, especially when it comes to adult learning methods and techniques. — Phil Weldon, Fox Rothschild LLP — Sue Zavesky, Calfee, Halter & Griswold, L.L.P. 80 Peer to Peer
