She recently started her own business — a mix of sales, marketing consulting, project management and connecting brands to retailers. GAIL AQUINO Merchandise manager, San Diego Zoo Global Aquino manages the Adult categories of business with the San Diego Zoo. She has worked her way up across various positions including retail operations manager, retail operations supervisor, office manager, and sales associate. Aquino holds a BS in finance from Cal State San Marcos. RACHEL BERICK Owner/founder, Maptote Berick graduated from New York University with an art degree and also earned a degree in fashion design from Parsons School of Design. Her career began as a designer and transitioned into one as a fashion stylist. A 2006 vacation inspired Berick and her husband to create a line of totes with a map of their neighborhood of Brooklyn on it, and Maptote was born. BROOKE CASKEY-HIGNETT Mid-Atlantic & Virginia sales representative, Daniel*Richards Caskey-Hignett spent seven years of her career at Walt Disney World. She moved on to work with Page Stationery and in 2015 she joined Daniel Richards Group as the Virginia and West Virginia sales manager. She is passionate about the event and wedding industry and helping establish connections with companies, products and vendors. CRYSTAL CHEYNE Managing director of U.S. sales operations, Ganz Cheyne began her career in the gift and home industry in 2011, when she accepted a position with the Ganz National Accounts division. Her prior experience with outside sales and administration enabled her to grow with Ganz. JILL DEDOMINICIS Visitor experience manager, Mingei International Museum DeDominicis' love for everything craft and design extends beyond her job to her personal life, where she dabbles in jewelry making, textiles and fiber work. Prior to her museum career, she worked in magazine publishing, focusing on writing artist profiles and exhibition and publication reviews. TAYLOR ELLIOTT Founder/creative director, Taylor Elliott Designs Elliott discovered her love for the gift industry at age 11, when she began attending market with her mom. By college, she was meeting with gift sales reps and buying for her family's pharmacy in Oklahoma. With a graphic design degree, and a love of color and product design, Elliott merged her passions to create Taylor Elliott Designs in 2013 SARAH GLUCHACKI Founder, The Windmill Paper Boutique After designing for Bella Figura, Gluchacki opened The Windmill creating a couture experience and a fresh approach to in-person invitation shopping. She supports other small businesses, and works with family-owned print shops across the country. Her designs have been featured on Style Me Pretty, The Knot, Brides, Martha Stewart Weddings, and she created invitations for Vera Wang's 2020 bridal collection event. SHANDON GRAYBEAL Owner, Alair Neighborhood Gift Shop Graybeal opened Alair in 2016 with a focus on small batch gifts and companies that give back. She believes fiercely in community over competition and building up those around you. She enjoys being able to know the neighbors, supports fellow small businesses, and helps individuals just starting a business to figure it all out. DAVID MANUEL GARCIA Shop manager, Seattle Audubon Nature Shop Garcia manages 30 plus volunteers that power the Nature Shop and oversees retail operations for the shop. Profits from the store provide essential funding for the programs of Seattle Audubon. He creates a community resource, not just a welcoming retail space. He is also an advocate for diversity and is involved with the local nonprofit, Latino Outdoors. NICK FORTE Co-founder/business director, June & December Forte entered the gift industry in 2014 when he co-founded June & December with his wife, Katie. Their passion for storytelling is woven throughout their products. From reusable packaging and eco-friendly materials to botanical designs inspired by recent nature hikes with their kiddos, they strive to help celebrate shared moments that bring people together.
