WWW.POTATOGROWER.COM 11 2361-18RotamNOrthAmerica12v.indd 1 7/26/19 11:19 AM Vive Averland FC Nematicide/Insecticide Growers have a new tool to combat a wide spectrum of nematodes in corn and foliar insects in potatoes. The EPA recently registered Averland FC (abamectin), and it becomes the newest addition to Vive Crop Protection's fertilizer- compatible product lineup. Abamectin controls Colorado potato beetle, leafminers, potato psyllid and spider mites and thrips. It delivers an easy-to-use option that mixes easily with micronutrients and other chemistry in a foliar application, including in chemigation. Averland FC contains Vive's proprietary Allosperse Delivery System. The technology makes chemicals that were previously incompatible able to be mixed with liquid fertilizer and applied at the right time for maximum benefit to the crop. It also saves growers time and money by reducing a pass over the field. Contact Vive Crop Protection at (888) 760-0187 or www.vivecrop.com. Valley 365 Crop Management Platform Valley Irrigation announces the launch of Valley 365, a new single-source platform for connected crop management, due for release in early 2020. Valley 365 combines the best features of existing Valley technology into one easy-to-use interface for single-sign-on access to complete connected crop management. With functionality from key solutions like AgSense, Valley Scheduling, Valley Variable Rate Irrigation and Valley Insights, it's a true command center that connects growers to their fields. Learn more at www.valleyirrigation.com/365. Great Plains Velocity Hybrid Tillage Great Plains has developed a hybrid tillage solution called the Velocity. The Velocity combines some of the positive aspects of vertical tillage, while maintaining similar features of a conventional disk, resulting in a new classification in the Great Plains product line called hybrid tillage. The Velocity is designed to bury more residue than a true vertical tillage tool, but with shallow- concavity SpeedBlades on 7½-inch spacings. The patented SpeedBlades aggressively power through heavy residue and thoroughly mix the soil without ridging. The Velocity is engineered to run at faster speeds than a conventional disk harrow, and its hydraulic fore/aft leveling simplifies field adjustments to create a smooth finish in a variety of soil conditions. The hydraulic soil conditioner features heavy-duty 16-inch diameter reels with 1-inch rods that can withstand rocks while busting clods, leaving behind an ideal seedbed.
