technology PeopleNet adds trailer tracking, weigh station bypass P eopleNet, a provider of integrated onboard computing systems, last month introduced a trailer tracking offering that requires no additional trailer hardware. The Tethered Trailer Tracking application uses the existing Power Line Communication cable for exchanging data between the trailer���s anti-lock brake system and the PeopleNet system through the MultiBus Adapter with a PLC chip. This configuration helps manage trailer detention, reduce the cost of lost trailers, eliminate manual yard checks and improve utilization information for more efficient maintenance.
