Over the past several years, Maribo has directed its attention to the U.S. market, developing tried, true and tested varieties while focusing on the key attributes for U.S. growers. To learn more about Maribo Seed, contact your local Nutrien Solutions sales representative or visit www.mariboseeds.com. Maribo seed is currently trialing in several U.S. markets, with the potential of sales to Michigan, American Crystal, Minn-Dak and SMBSC growers following sugar cooperative approvals. Michigan Sugar Three hybrids are available for the Michigan growing areas this upcoming season: MA709, MA813NT and MA814. These hybrids bring high tolerance to Cercospora leaf spot as well as other key disease pressures in the growing area. Each offers excellent sugar extractability potential. Red River Valley Maribo brings four hybrids to the Red River Valley in 2020: MA504, MA717 and MA109 for American Crystal. MA504 and MA717 offer superior yield potential, while MA109 brings a strong disease package. Maribo also offers MA806 for the Minn-Dak market, pending sugar cooperative approval. MA806 is a high-quality hybrid with phenomenal Cercospora tolerance. SMBSC Cercospora is mounting in SMBSC territory, and Maribo has responded with a new hybrid based on sugar cooperative approvals. MA801 brings industry-leading Cercospora tolerance with a well-balanced package. n
