8 Sugar Producer NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2019 Off the Top News and Updates from the Sugarbeet Industry Spudnik Acquires STC Trailer Spudnik Equipment Company LLC has entered into an agreement to purchase STC Trailer LLC of Blackfoot, Idaho. This acquisition will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2020. STC Trailer has served the potato industry well over the past several years by building top-quality trailers and bulk beds. The addition of trailers and stainless steel bulk beds is an important ingredient in completing the Spudnik line of products for customers. Spudnik will continue producing STC Trailer products under the Spudnik name. Bihlmeyer brings years of sales and marketing experience in crop protection, seed, biotechnology and the automotive coatings industry. He worked in the U.S., Canadian and global marketplaces with industry leaders BASF and Syngenta. He holds a bachelor's degree in agribusiness management from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina. Hopper is responsible for finance, operational efficiency, production and logistics at Vive. She has diverse experience in project management, strategic planning, business transformation, financial management, and mergers and acquisitions from working at Canada Goose, Soroc Technology, TIM-BR Mart, Household Financial and Sony Canada.
