3 DENVER CATHOLIC | NOVEMBER 9-22, 2019 Around the Archdiocese From here to eternity. Giving for the Kingdom of God ® Planning Your Will and Special Gifts Personally — Leave a legacy of what matters to you most. Financially — Wisely manage the assets that God has entrusted to you, in full compliance with the doctrine of the Catholic Church. Spiritually — Strengthen our parishes and our Catholic community through your charitable giving. The Catholic Foundation of Northern Colorado is here to help you plan your Will, including the opportunity for special gifts that you may not be able to create on your own. As Catholic faithful, we believe our earthly treasure is a gift from God, and we can give it a way to serve the greater good. Give alms. Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven. Wisdom Was the Lord's Delight; Playing on the Surface of the Earth Faithful Archdiocese of Denver employee marks 50 years of service to the Church W hen Carrie Sigman started working at the Archdiocese of Denver in 1969, she never imagined that 50 years later, she would be celebrating her anniversary and serv- ing the Lord in the same organization. On Nov. 10, 1969, Sigman started her career at the archdiocese as a book- keeper and throughout the years, she has worked in di€ erent o¤ ces includ- ing accounting, support services, social justice, priest secretary, vicar general secretary, among others. "I'm grateful that I have been able to work with wonderful bishops, priests, and sta€ throughout my career. Without them, I would have never lasted 50 years," Sigman told the Denver Catholic. Much has changed since Sigman began working with the Archdiocese of Denver, but these changes have brought challenges and well-learned lessons that have helped her to grow professionally and spiritually. "I can't begin to tell you the changes; let's just say there was no such thing as a Xerox machine in our o¤ ce," she said. Sigman continues to serve the Lord through her employment as an Activi- ties and Events Assistant and hopes for more years at the Archdiocese. The Archdiocese of Denver would like to recognize and thank Carrie Sigman for her dedication and years of service. BY ROCIO MADERA rocio.madera@archden.org PHOTO PROVIDED
