33 Bonnie Kibbie Bonnie Kibbie, VMD is the current chair of the USEA Volunteer Committee. She helped found the committee in memory of a beloved member of the eventing community, Seema Sonnad, whose vision it was to see volunteers recognized, organized, and rewarded at the national level for their contributions to the sport. She has enjoyed serving on the committee since its inception in 2015 and hopes to continue to improve the resources available to volunteers in the U.S. for years to come. Bonnie is an equine veterinarian in Chester County, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her husband, fellow eventer and course designer Jeff Kibbie, their feisty toddler, Elias, and their newborn son, Samuel. She has evented through the Preliminary level but is currently helping her and Jeff 's former competition horse, Loki, enjoy semi-retirement with the occasional trail ride and dressage lesson. Bonnie serves as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Plantation Field International Horse Trials and loves living in the heart of event country. Cyndi Kurth Cyndi Kurth has filled many volunteer roles in the eventing world since she began volunteering as an announcer and controller in 2002. She has announced or controlled at most of the FEI events in the United States and was the Chief Arena Steward at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event. She is currently the USEA Area III Chair. A former mounted patrol officer, Cyndi won gold and silver medals at the National Police Olympics. She has competed through Training level and coached to the two-star level. She lives in Ormond Beach, Florida with her partner John and their new Beagle puppy Flappers. Leslie Law At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Leslie Law won the individual gold medal and team medal. Known for his consistency, Leslie has had a string of successes including a team silver in Sydney 2000, European team gold in 2001 and 2003, and WEG team bronze in 2002. Shear L'Eau, who he rode into gold medal position in Athens, is full brother to Shear H20 who was his Olympic mount in Sydney 2000. Leslie started riding at the age of 10 to compete with his brother Graham, who is also a successful event rider. He contradicts the popular image that event riders come from wealthy, privileged backgrounds, having grown up in a council house. Since arriving in the United States in 2006 Leslie has racked up a huge list of accomplishments including three-time Advanced USEA Gold Cup Champion, Young Event Horse Champion and Reserve Champion, multiple CCI3* and CIC3* wins and top placings, and multiple CCI2* and CIC2* wins and top placings. He has found horses for and coached some of America's top young riders and has had many adult amateurs in the top placings at the USEA American Eventing Championships. Leslie was named the USEF Eventing Emerging Athlete Coach in 2014 and continues to serve in the role today as coach of the Eventing 25 and Eventing 18 athletes. Lou Leslie An Active USCTA/USEA member since 1991, Lou Leslie has participated as an eventer in every USEA Area west of the Mississippi. With the start of the new millennium, she has served full terms as an Area Chair, a Board of Governors member, and a Trustee Chair of USEA Foundation. Presently, Lou continues to have active leadership roles with many eventing committees, such as Strategic Planning, USEA Foundation, Rebecca Broussard's Developing International Rider Grant programs, and Adult Amateurs.
