PRODUCT FOCUS Front-Mount Intercoolers Mishimoto Automotive, Wilmington, Del., offers several high-performance Front-Mount Intercoolers for Chevy, Dodge and Ford diesel trucks. Each application-specific intercooler provides the cooling capacity needed for a turbo diesel truck and is built from 6061-grade aluminum with cast end tanks. TIG welded for durable performance, the intercoolers allow trucks to increase horsepower safely while providing superior airflow, and each application is a direct bolt-on design for easy installation. Programmable Ratio Supercharger ProCharger, Lenexa, Kan., introduces its i-1 ProCharger programmable ratio supercharger, featuring an intelligent control system and optional touchscreen display that allows drivers to switch between three factory-supplied performance modes as well as a custom mode.  The patented programmable design produces immediate response, even at low engine rpm, without any turbo lag or power falloff at higher engine rpm. Designed and manufactured in the U.S., it includes exclusive billet impellers and rugged gear cases. Wrangler Turbo System Banks Power, Azusa, Calif., presents its new Banks Sidewinder Turbo System for 1999-2006 4.0-liter Jeep Wranglers. The system develops a 45-percent increase in rear-wheel horsepower at 6 psi of boost pressure. The turbocharger with integrated blow-off valve and oil-cooled wastegate was specifically sized to improve low- and mid-range torque, optimal for highway use and rock crawling. The Banks AutoMind programmer provides ECU recalibration and a turbo-specific ram-air intake system can be mated to the optional through-hood Super-Scoop intake. Self-Lubricating Supercharger Paxton Automotive, Oxnard, Calif., introduces its NOVI SL (Self-Lubricating) Supercharger that features an internal oil reservoir for self-contained lubrication so no oil lines are necessary. The new design includes a uniquely configured transmission housing that allows for effective gear lubrication and bearing temperature control. It offers a shorter installation time and the ability to service the supercharger oil without removal. 16 n Performance Business PBMAY 2.indd 16 n Diesel Blow-Off Valve Controller Turbosmart USA, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., presents its Diesel Blow-Off Valve Controller that controls the pressure signal to the BOV. The Turbosmart BOV controller vents built-up pressure, protecting the turbocharger from compressor surge or turbo bark that is detrimental over time, often causing catastrophic turbo failure in high-boost diesel systems. The unit reduces turbocharger rebuilds and improves acceleration between gears. May 2013 3/29/13 9:52 AM
