2 IDAHO FALLS MAGAZINE JANUARY 2020
Now in its 11th year of poses,
clicks and zooms, this year's
competition has harvested
another amazing crop of visual
delights from shutterbugs
around Greater Idaho Falls. We're
also happy to announce the inclusion
of additional images as Editor's Picks.
After scoring the competition of 800-
plus images across seven different cat-
egories, the results were so tight that
we ended up with dozens of images
that fell "out of the money" by just a
few points.
Special thanks to our long-time
presenting sponsors: Eastern Idaho
Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) and
Perfect Light Camera & Supply. Both
have supported the contest in a myri-
ad of ways since the very beginning.

Captured by perennial contender
CODY SAXTON, this shot soared
straight to the top of our finalist
selections and stayed there as
this year's Grand Prize Winner.
"You don't even need to leave
Idaho Falls to photograph wildlife,"
Cody told us. "This osprey was
catching dinner at the local fish
pond over the summer and I was
fortunate enough to capture the
event. Birds in flight are a chal-
lenge and osprey are extremely
fast. He looks very happy with his
catch. The fish, not so much."
