SCORE SAFETY Priority #1 Safety is always a priority at SCORE and in this issue we present the latest in the equipment that can keep all SCORE participants safer, and to provide more awareness of this very important part of their race prep. In addition to the product overview focusing on the apparel and neck restraint categories, we also have input from industry experts such as long-time safety innovator, Robbie Pierce along with Impact’s Ben O'Connor, Bell Helmets Kyle Kietzman, Racequip’s Patrick Utt and Maglock product innovator, Ed Jaeger, for in-depth observations in this critical equipment area. They provided additional insight in making sure that many safety items that are on your check list are updated, maintained, and reviewed before each race. The 2020 SCORE World Desert Championship season planning is now finalized and the SCORE San Felipe 250 will once again be the outstanding season opener that it has been for now 34 years! Taking place on March 25-29, this iconic race will once again be challenging the participating teams with an expanded estimated 350- mile course. A new qualifying session is taking place on Wednesday. The two-day Contingency Program will continue to take place on the Malecon beachfront location. This offers easy access to all of the restaurants, shops, and offers a spectacular ocean view. The SCORE San Felipe 250 is one of the favorite race sites and courses in off-road motorsports, and this was the case with veteran SCORE racer, “Pistol” Pete Sohren. He will be remembered as we return to his favorite race, the San Felipe 250. This year we will be honoring Pete as his family will be acting in the Grand Marshall role. More information on all SCORE San Felipe 250 race details available on score-international.com under the Racer Info tab, and in March issue’s 34th SCORE San Felipe 250 Preview issue. Enjoy the issue.
